Gotlands Fashion. Legendary Adventures.

The home of adventure lies abroad, they say. During a trip in Southeast Asia years ago I encountered a painting of a nameless boy in a hotel, painted by the (famous) singer/songwriter Joan Baez. The tableau hung in the foyer of the before mentioned hotel and had already survived decades of tropical heat. All of Indochina looked through this painting at me and I felt as if it were adventures themselves that take care of people instead of vice versa. Eventually, Joan could have led a carefree life - as the companion of Steve Jobs - but instead sat down at the red river, in the French Quarter of Hanoi, and painted this nameless boy. Around 76 years before that another legendary woman flew through this region. Amelia Earhart, a flight pilot, feminist and adventuress lost on position 157'-337 in the vastness of the Pacific. These days, we remembered the adventurous heroine, suffragette and pioneer of aviation. Today we are commemorating heroes and adventurer of past and current times with the small Capsule Collection.
